seems easy enough the files are supposed to import straight into the mission editor then u have to probably tweak the scripts and such, i dont have the sub command files. so if someone who has a copy SC, and is a little more familiar with the missions themselves wants to do it that might be a little easier,

on a related note i have fleet comand installed so if anyone familier with those missions are there any youd like to see in DW i could probably convert those and post em :feedback:

edit" sorry i will do it if sombody wants to send me the SC mis files wanted to make sure no one else wants to do it or is already started

Gunner - Bill Nichols of Sub Guru is developing a Campaign - Red Storm Rising.
He is working on the final mission currently and hoped to release before Xmas.

I will enquire further and I/we will get back to you.

Check out SubGuru, Crazy Ivan has converted the original Sub Command Campaign to Dangerous Waters. However you need Sub Command to install it.

Below is the Readme for the Campaign.

09/2005
This packing includes the imported campaigns from the SubCommand. Place them in
a folder of the scenario. I have tested them with the version 1.01 build 357.

With the modified databases it maybe can work not correctly - extended areas of
detection will result right at the beginning of mission to inevitable counterdetected.

Mainstream idea campaigns, remain as "Sonalysts" fixed, however some missions now use new progress.

For Akula Campaign, at some missions added Kilo as secondary driveable. US subs mixed in one campaign, the transition from one
platform on another can be carried out in any mission.

The textual messages of briefings are deduced in a window box of a browser in game and is marked * symbols.
Check up they when you begin every next mission campaign.

For sound support, i used files by Bill "Subguru" Nichols:

Weapons_Tight.wav
DownInFlames.wav
GeneralQuarters.wav
good_job.wav
LookAtGuyBurn.wav
Point_Alpha.wav
SunkACivilianShip.wav
Rigged_For_The_Dive.wav
Dive_boat.wav
Point_Alpha.wav
Blowing_Ballast.wav
Russian_Waters.wav
CaughtSomeRusskies.wav
Recommended check up presence of these files in your a folder scenario.

The campaigns can are used with extended sound support:

For this purpose, you should decompress in a separate folder with the help of the SCSoundEditor, 28 files from SC
with expansion AGG (same name with missions of campaigns - AkulaAkulaEgress.agg, AkulaBaltic.agg. SeawolfBaltic.agg - etc.).

At output, it will be the files such as:

R_RM_0*_*.wav for a AKULA and
E_SW_14**_*.wav for the USS,

in total approximate 164 files.

Use SCSoundEdit, add these new wav type files in yours SFX.AGG which is in SCS_DangerousWaters\Audio\Sfx.
[Copy Original SFX.AGG it is desirable.]

After patches, the size of a file SFX.AGG will be increased up to more 200 mb. The unnecessary files wav now can be removed.

Now Sound Support Out Of Briefings Campaigns SubCommand, Allows in Dangerous Waters.

Enjoy!

I had already started a FGG Campaing, have some missions done so far but since I am doing MP maps weekly lately I will be a little slow on this one.
I intend the campaing to be gradually more complex.
The basic history is the FFG-61 Ingraham leaving Its Naval base in Seattle and being deployed to the Taiwan area to reinforce 7th Fleet units after a tension scalation btw China and the US.
The different mission will include, replenishement, rescues, searches, "Aegis" protection of Merchant ships, joining an ARG and escorting it to deploy on some key islands, identifying suspected Intellegence gathering fishing vessels........................................... ..

So stay tunned, if I have time to complet it maybe in January we could have it avalaible. I prefer to take some extra time but make it a good one with no bugs or malfucntions.

As has been noted above, I'm working on a DW campaign based on Red Storm Rising. I'd like sometime in the future to convert my "Silent Dolphins" campaign to DW, but doing so won't be simple. Silent Dolphins uses the SCX mod for Sub Command, so there would be some changes required to make the transition to DW.

Converting SC campaigns to DW is pretty straightforward. Import each Sub Command mission into DW, then save it as a DW scenario. You'll also need the 'cam' file that tells the game which scenarios belong to the campaign. The place where you might find trouble is in how DW handles triggers -- not all of the possible triggers in Sub Command found their way into DW. For example, DW doesn't have any way to check that the player has raised a mast or periscope. Any SC scenario that uses such a trigger will behave unpredictably in DW.
