I just had to post this one from a dive i done tonight

This is one dive i will never forget :)
Talk about being unlucky, i have never seen such bad luck in a dive before and i apoligise for being so lucky in this one Kilo.
We where playing one of the maps with neutrals and hostile suface ships on map. At WF they where behin a island so i didnt see them. All of a sudden i got pings just after the hour mark. I marked them and also marked them in sonar. I went to PD depth and used ESM to classify them. I then decided they where to close. They where just entering my no go zone i have of 10nm for hostile suface ships. I set presets on 3 adcap and set speeds to 40kts and made them passives. With them being passives they dont alert the targets till it to late for them to run and passives have no problems tracking surface units. I fired all 3. When they neared the hostiles i resteered them so i had one adcap going for each hostile and cut the wires believing that all would hit. But one started tracking the wrong surface ship and when it was destroyed with with one of the other adcaps the stray passive was to far from its right taget to reaquire it. So i was left with one hostile war ship and a wild fish in the water with loads of neutrals about and one hostile sub. I fired another to take care of the remaining hostile ship and watched as my passive traveled the whole lenth of the op area. I was praying all the time it wouldnt pick up a target and would run out. But as it neared to op area boundry it stopped snaking and went straight. I thought oh no i about to kill a neutral. Booom. I check mission status to see what the damage was. And guess what. Yep it had hit Kilo who was in a Seawolf. I couldnt believe it. Of all the things it could have hit it hit the sub i was looking for. Kilo didnt even hear it comming. Sorry Kilo i sure your luck will change :)
GG sir
ps. i will be saving replay for anyone who wants to see it as i know you will prob not believe it till you can see it :)

Hehe, I once fired a spread of Shikvals and one hit a friendly Kilo that was formerly piloted by player who got disconnected early in the game... now that's a luck shot.

lol, LuftWolf, I remember that one.

"Con, Sonar. Torpedo in the water bearing (between 150 and 180)!"
"Con, Sonar. Torpedo in the water...... same thing."

Captain Frag made his way to the SO's readout screen, peering at it over the SO's shoulder. Frag stared on with slight puzzlement as he saw exactly what the SO was seeing... two lines. He took the headphones from the SO to have a listen for himself.

What came to his ears was the most ferocious sound he had ever heard. The sound was as if a million toilets were being flushed, but... much worse.

The SO pointed to the range. Whatever it was, it was 10,000 yds away and closing FAST.

"It... it..." Captain Frag didn't know what to say because he didn't know what it was, but at the moment he was thinking of some kind of excuse for whatever nonsense that was going through his brain. He needed to think of something fast, and hopefully before those numbers on the screen got to 0.

"It's a secret Russian super-torpedo!" he finally blurted out. He didn't actually know if it was in fact Russian, but it was better than nothing. Something then bothered him. What if it was a secret Russian super-torpedo? What was he going to do about it? He needed some advice.

With no time to lose, Frag scrambled to his cabin and started to sift through the pile of books he had collected there.

Iron Coffins? No, he needed something more modern.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? No, he was not being attacked by a giant squid.

He tossed a few more books around before he finally picked one up that he had always liked and blew the dust off that had settled on it.

Star Trek. Yes, Captain Kirk always knew what to do in any situation! Suddenly inspired by his childhood hero, he layed it down on his bed and rushed off to the command room.

"Helm, right full rudder. Make your course 270. Launch countermeasures. All ahead warp 9!" said Captain Frag proudly, as if he has absolute confidence that his plan would work.

The XO looked at the captain with confusion regarding warp 9. "Sir, this is a submarine, not a spaceship."

Frag looked back at his XO with disappointment. He then stormed over to the intercom. "Scotty, I need warp speed! NOW!" he yelled. The transmission echoed throughout the boat.

The XO rolled his eyes and instructed the helmsman to increase speed to flank.

Captain Frag felt the acceleration with his feet and smiled to himself in satisfaction. 30 seconds later...

"Con, Sonar. Torpedo missed, sir. Passed us at a range of 4,000 yds."

"It worked!" Shouted Captain Frag, throwing a fist into the air. He beamed with excitement, looking around to all the men in the room. He had to say something, something inspirational.

Captain Frag stepped slowly up to the intercom. "I'm proud of you men... every single one of you."
