Quickmission P-3 ASW Area Search

...so I started a quick mission, P-3 Orion ASW Area Search (Easy) and dropped a few bouys to sanitize my area of responsibility. After thoroghly looking, I decided that any enemy sub that may have been in the water had eluded me.... so I ended the mission and discovered that none was ever there! :mad:
So I started another mission, this time with "truth on", and just waited for a bad-guy sub to appear, but none ever did yet I never received a radio transmission saying that my patrol was a success. (I flew the p-3 out of gas) I am thinking that there must be some mission-designed "trigger" that must occur before a sub shows up... what gives? How is this mission constructed?:confused:

I could be wrong b/c I don't ever play QMs, but I think the only built in triggers are the goal triggers advising you of kills/competed objectives. I don't think anything spawns except at mission start.

To put more simply, I don't know what I'm supposed to do to succeed at this mission. I think there is a bug.

The answer is quite simple ... the Quickmissions are bugged. Its a known problem that sometimes the target isnt spawned thus the mission can obviously not completed. However I thought this bug was fixed some time ago ... did you apply the 1.04 Patch ?
