Talk about bad timing for subsim being down. :frown: Last week I searched subsim's archived posts about ekelund range determination, found and bookmarked them and since sunday I couldn't even read them.
The moment I need them, poof no access.
Lets hope the site goes up quickly again.

Keltos01 just posted this in another Forum:

"From Slashdot:
Explosion At ThePlanet Datacenter Drops 9,000 Servers

"Customers hosting with ThePlanet, a major Texas hosting provider, are going through some tough times. Yesterday evening at 5:45 pm local time an electrical short caused a fire and explosion in the power room, knocking out walls and taking the entire facility offline. No-one was hurt and no servers were damaged. Estimates suggest 9,000 servers are offline, affecting 7,500 customers, with ETAs for repair of at least 24 hours from onset...."

Could be an explanation, though i don't like to hear that the subsim servers are victims of an explosion...i hope they are really undamaged.

@Goldorak: I did some work on the Ekelund-Ranging some time ago, they should be still on my old machine (i'm migrating to another system right now), so i email them to you if you are interested.

Its very interesting, I was reading the formulas last week so I could implement the calculation on a spreadsheet or on my calculator. It seems somebody already did the job with the spreadsheet , I'll go on testing this awesome tool in the following days.

Just checked a minute ago and SubSim was up'n running. Even two active posts in the DW section.
