Hey All,

I'm new here. I own SubCommand, and no one plays online. So, I'm bubbling around, kicking a few rocks, sad and lonely.

If I were to purchase Dangerous Waters, would I always be able to find online play in August 2008?

Are there other nuclear sub sims with a strong online community?

Thanks!

There are more people playing DW than SC, but that isn't saying much. I managed to get 5 people into a session by posting here (http://www.commanders-academy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25047) in advance of the date, though, so it can happen. The calendar (http://www.commanders-academy.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=43) feature here is pretty sweet, and I'll probably be using it a bit more in the next several weeks. DW.pl (http://www.dangerouswaters.pl/) gets matches together on a weekly basis most of the time too. And there is always the virtual fleet option, although I haven't heard from any in awhile. GNSF (http://globalnavalstrikeforce.com/main.php) apparently has had 16 logged DW and 688I player-matches for July, which is lower than I expected but still probably good for a match a week if you want to be active. Subb and Muhaja started an Xfire guild (http://www.xfire.com/clans/dwobjective/) for DW players who prefer objective-based missions; it's not going as strong as it used to but I still see people pop up now and then.

And no, there aren't really any other sims. The SCS series is the only game in town for modern nukes.

Thanks! I had downloaded the demo version a coupla months ago, and there was no one out there.

I mean, I know it's supposed to be hard to find you, but geez!

Ok. I'll check the calendar.
