Hello, I'm Deadeye313, but you can call me Deadeye. the 313 is for gamespy ID purposes.

I discovered Dangerous waters about 2 weeks ago and downloaded the Demo and the movies and loved them so I finally purchased it a few days ago at best buy and I don't regret it. I've downloaded 1.03b and the LWI mod but I'm still adjusting to needing 2 torpedoes to take down a submarine.

I have been looking at the posts and AARs and have taken several notes and have done some testing on various aspects of the game and have a couple of stories to tell.

I'll start with my impressions. This is a great game and extremely accurate. I was watching a shows on, I forgot whether it was the military Channel or National Geographic, but they showed the MH-60R's ATO view screen and it looked almost exactly like the ingame version. also, I wish there was at aleast a bearing line made when a TIW is given. That wouls aid in evasion immensly.

If there are a couple of things I don't really like, it's the lack of info on the BT bouy, the thermal layer's importance in layman's terms and the lack of info on how to actually build a mission with the editor.

I'd esspecially appreciate if someone responding would give me a rundown of at least the BT and thermal layer stuff and how it affects the game and how to read the bouy. I read something about it hiding sounds but wasn't too sure. I may have seen this when a bouy of mine had a red dot but didn't give a waterfall or even dot signature so I couldn't get a bearing reading. Upon doing a show truth, I found out that the sub was the only thing is range but I never saw its waterfall and the BT bouy said "Layer: 0". This was just a few minutes after getting the realism mod so I may still need practice with it.

Other than that, I pride myself on sinking a sub within 10 minutes of a bearing reading, unless there is a mad or active signature, in which case It drops to 2 minutes before he starts seeing TsIW.

as you can see I love the MH-60R, it adds so much capability to US side. with it, we can drop whole nets of bouies, track info from them all easily and deliver torpedoes right on top of the enemy. Unless you have a P-3, this is the next best thing. I'm not as good with the subs so don't expect to see me in many of those games but if there's an FFG that needs help, I'm there.

I look foreward to sharing games and warstories with all of you.
