I have and SH3 with Latest Beta patch. And Newest SubCMD with RUB 1.45. It is supported with all kinds of eye candy mod's and all kind's of mod's but I get playing DW and seem to lose intrest in going back to sh3 :frown: Some times I am in the mood to remove SH3 and spend all my time trying to learn more about the platforms in DW and SC.
I suspect that some players play both. I think Sub Guru play's both:wink: What do you think " Bill"
Any you have feelings like me about the Sim?
Thank's for any comments good or bad.

I play both, but not at the same time ;)
I'm on the 4th patrol in my current SH3 campaign. It's early-1941 and I've just found a convoy in stormy weather....

U-46 type VIIB with upgraded hydrophone and engine  recently departed wilhemshaven (mar 21 1940) patrol 6, the crew is in good spirits after our last patrol having sunk a pair of 6000 tonner's , and a few merchies in transit

mods i use: Rub 1.45, das boot crew, hollywood, int tex, and the bowspray mod

i find both games fun on there own merits. DW for its excelent mp, great action and variety of platform, SH3 for its visuals, audio, and also great action. i only hope that more games like both will be created

I play SHIII as well, I am on my 13th War Patrol and I have a Type IXB.
Silent Hunter III is a fine game but it has not real multiplayer and it is more simpler than Dangerous Waters.
Each fills a different need for game.
I wish Silent Hunter should have incorporated a Destroyer Command II version so Sub vs DD could have been accomplished and thus its MP possibilities would have been enhanced by thousands.
Anyway I like playing SHIII, I play at 100% realism and I love when my torps strike targets over 2000mts using manual TDC. I do not even use the game tools but I pass the observations to a TDC calculator I have on another computer and I got the solution there.
Anyway I have to say that in most aspects I prefer DW, but SHIII has the very best graphics and it is very inmersive.

Furia and SubGuru, and who else reads this and plays SH3
Yes the Graphics are out of this world. The view from the Bridge is great. And I just installed Bord's " instruments mod gages look great inside. I am on patrol 7 April 1940 out Kiel. U-47 V11b have a save the weather on surface is about
the worse I have seen :frown: Have my 24 hr patrol complet and just off
coast Norway one grid below an-29. I have just sunk one Norway tug boat
and a C2 I think I am ok Norway become a enemy after 11,Apr 1940.
had orders to use impact torp first and mag on second Was luckey and hit
the tug boat with one torp set impact. I play on Auto for torp firing.
On the con's SH3, Starforce :frown: slow loading a save mission.
I worry if i ever remove sh3 the starforce drivers are in system and I hear
they could cause problems?
Was playing Bill's RSR single mission "Calm Before Storm" had a CTD black sceen when click set Red Deck You can read about it at Subsim RSR forum:tongue:
Yes i agree with Furia would have been nice to have a DC with SH3
That's what I like about DW have a chance to drive a FFG. I get so confused with the mult contacts with truth off. Visual contacts and ESM and radar
contacts.
Well Now I wish everbody a "Happy New Year "
