We had very good teamwork going in this MP game. In fact it was almost textbook in its execution. I tried to use the windows button to type and go back but something happened on I only got one screenshot of the battle. If anyone has the scores can you post it. I know I got -300 because I sunk a super Tanker.

Teams were:
Russia:
Akula 2 Kraken
Akula 2 AI

US:
MH-60R Deadeye313
MH-60R MK420
OHP FFG Mahuja
OHP FFG Soundken

I don't know what the ROE were since there was no breifing but I don't think the US was allowed to sink surface ships. Other than that it was typical sub hunting game.

As you can see by the following screenshot here (http://www.hyperjump.net/deadeye141/start%20of%20map.bmp), The US starts at the bottom of the map. And there is an Akula near the big, North-East island (kraken), and an AI controlled Akula in the west above Mahuja.

First we started for the North Eastern Island above where I was. As we approached the area, I from the south-east and Mk420 from the west I suddenly saw 2 missiles jump out of the water and sink that cruise ship that I had passed, that can't be good for tourism:mob: . Knowing immediately the danger involved, I went to 2500 FT so that he'd really have to look around to find me.

Mk420 was a little braver than me (at least I think so, I don't know what his altitude was at this point) and headed straight for Kraken, but Kraken was point away from me and Mk so I don't know if he even saw either of us. he must have been following that super Tanker near him.

:you_rock: Mk420 deserves a lot of credit for this kill for dropping the bouies while I readied a torpedo to drop on the Akula (we didn't know it was Kraken till after the kill but I had a hunch it was because we saw the peeking sail and rear dorsal fin above the water so we knew it was there and it's not a tactic I'm aware the AI uses.

we finally got a ping on Kraken and Mk420 set it to hostile. I first tried to hit it with a penguin and missed, hitting the super tanker instead (not good for oil prices or my score:cussing: ). I next tried a torpedo from 2000 ft and it hit the bottom before it could pull up. The bottom on this map was only about 200 ft in amongst the islands. I finally crossed my heart and came down to about 700 ft and launched, it pulled up and headed straight for kraken, I knew it was an instant lock because it was set to circle and it never did. about a minute or so later, Kraken was sent on permanent patrol, my first Human kill (WOOHOO!:arms: ).

after spending all of my ammunition, I needed a reload so while Mahuja and MK420 looked for the remaining Akula, I went back south to land on soundken who was searching the deeper waters for signs of life in case a sub may have been generated there. After about 15 minutes of flying there, reloading and taking off again, I gave control over to soundken who had picked up a contact to the south. After pin pointing where he wanted me to go, I dropped a Difar shallow and a VLAD deep and dipped. Nothing came up south but we got a ferry to the north. The map is very small, the combat aread, which can be drawn as a circle with the islands as the top edge is 20 NMI wide at most.

having picked up nothing, Mahuja, who was North of me got an active sonar hit on a possub here (http://www.hyperjump.net/deadeye141/possub.bmp) I went North and did a dip for him. I had a contact that appeared to be on the surface heading south. I fired a torp at an active sonar mark but it never aquired. The sub had actually gone North and my torpedo must have had a range to enable on it though I don't know how. After finding out he went north thanks to Mahuja's sonar, MK420 screamed passed me in an attempt to hit it. I launched another penguin and it missed too but didn't sink anyone this time.

MK420 started to do a bouy net in order to find the guy but I tried to get him to do an active sonar search since the AI doesn't use SAMs. I followed that sub, or at least what was marked as a surface sub, all the way to the North-east part of the middle Island. Seeing MK420 not do a dip, and only having one torp left I dipped real quick and active pinged the Akula. I then got a missile lock and hit the gas for 2500ft with the autocountermeasures firing all the way up. MK420 got the ping and flew over but had no weapons left. At least my view of him saw that he was empty. Mahuja sent an AI helo to help and he managed to steer it and get the final torpedo on target about here (http://www.hyperjump.net/deadeye141/last%20Akula%20sunk.bmp).
