Damn, I'm getting this error : Sorry! You have exceeded your daily allowed download amount. I haven't actually downloaded anything except for the changelog and readme file.

 nobody is blaming the developers.
The lwami mod is great (and I thank ML/Lw and amizaur) for finally fixing the frigate's cwis problem. :you_rock:
But we can't download the mod.
We're :mob: because of this, not because the mod is not good.

OK can we cut OS some slack here-I guess he's hit a limit presumably due to extensive uploading of stuff transferred from Subguru. I am confident we just have a hiccup and so we just need to practise that quality required of 'hunter-killers', namely a little patience !

We still have to wait until next month then if OS exceded the maximum allowed bandwidth for this month.
Lets give OS some :2ct: :2ct: :2ct: :2ct: :2ct: :2ct: :2ct: (where is the $ simley when we need it ? )

Ps: can't he upload it to rapidshare/megaupload while the problem of cadc is fixed ?

There was and is a limit that each one user can download a day ... unfortunatly I forgot to up that limit after I uploaded the mod. That has been fixed and downloads shouldn't be an issue anymore.

However there will continue to be a limit simply because even tho the community for DW is rather small I only have a certain amount of bandwidth and I'm not so hot on exceeding it. The new limit of 60MB should be enough to download the LwAmi Mod once a day plus some MBs to spare for other files.

Sorry for this delay but I've been without internet the last days, hence the slowness in response.

Since the repository itself is rather new I have to get a feel for the bandwidth its gonna cost in a month ... after this month I'll reevaluate the limits and adapt them to the situation.

P.S. : I've deleted some of the earlier post with the same content ... i.e. download is broken.

P.P.S. : Before I forget it ... it is recommend to install this mod over a clean (DW + 1.04 Patch) download. It might work if you just revert the mod by using the JSGME Tool, but I haven't tested for it and therefore to be on the safe side, try using a clean install.

For some reason, LWAMI replaces the updated models of the 688i SSN and OHP-FFG with a shoddy model.

No changes have been made to any playable models.

I am trying to D/L mod. I click the link...D/L (thru Windows Download Manager) into My Documents file and click to open/install. I get a message that says: Slow down [you are going too fast]. You must wait 60 secs (or 57 secs) before you can D/L again. I wait...nothing happens. Any ideas what I am doing incorrectly and how to resolve? Thanks all...can't wait to install if issue can be corrected. Also...thanks all modders...your efforts are really appreciated at this end.

Don't ask me why but it seems that you are trying to download the file multiple times at the same time. I suggest you use "Save As ..." and not use a download manager at all.

Gday lads,

Apologies if im posting in the wrong thread, but I downloaded the mod last night, enabled it through jsgme, and went to run. I had the new splash screen, but I came up with an error IIRC it just said "error 13081".

I was unable to do anything from that screen; the mouse wouldn't move, and could only close from task manager.

I thought I had read TFM properly, and followed all installation instructions, but apparently not...! Any ideas gentlemen?

That sounds like a database error. Did you patch the game to version 1.04 prior to installing DW ?

baggygreen
03-12-2009, 06:25 PM
No, I bought the game out of the box, patched to 1.04. At least, that is what was advertised...

goldorak

Make sure you have the english version of DW.
German and French versions have localised databases which can clash with lwami.

baggygreen
03-12-2009, 06:48 PM
Check, as much as I love French, I could never play a game in it! And German, well I only know about 2 or 3 words!!!

Thanks for the quick replies, much apreciated fellas

Are you sure it wasn't 1.03 out of the box? I was never aware of a boxed 1.04 release.

Certain, I've a copy of the invoice here at work, where I had it shipped.

I'll download 1.04 from somewhere tonight after work, try installing it and see how that goes. Worst case, I've just gone and wasted some of my limit, best case, I can get into this lwami I keep reading about :)

I suggest you deinstall DW and then start completely over with installing DW, patching to v1.04 and then installing LwAmi 3.09.

Great job again!
I have tested another one installation tip for the LwAmi 3.09. Having the 3.08 already installed the steps are:
1. Dissabled all active mods via JSGME
2. Completely removed the JSGME via Controll Panel (uninstall)
3. Restarted the PC
4. Run Installer.exe
Works great and not any troubles found.

I didn't have an uninstall in my control panel for the JSGM. And I have vr. 3.08 installed. I uninstalled 3.08 with the JSGM.

When 3.09 installed it installs into a new directory (LwAmi v3.09 Modification)

With the associated folders for mods, graphics ect.. under it. However 3.08 installed those folders into the DW directory. And the older version of the JSGM was in the root DW folder.

Sooo... I would uninstall everything and start over, but I bought and downloaded DW from online and I do not have the original install file anymore so I am afraid to uninstall everything.

Any suggestions?

Suggestions for what? Is there a problem? What makes you want to start over?

By the way, don't say that the mod enabler "installs" or "uninstalls" anything. The installation process and enabling/disabling processes are different so it's best not to confuse the two.

I 'disabled' all the 3.08 mods in DW (since there was no uninstall for JSGME in control panel didn't do that)

Installed 3.09, encountered an error at the end of the install process

Used the new JSGME and 'enabled' the 3.09 mods..how do I know if 3.09 is in fact enabled, shouldn't I see 3.09 somewhere in the game interface?

thanks for the reply :)

Edit #2:

So i'm just computer retarded...it helps if you install the installer INTO the DW folder...duh lol seems to be working fine now..thanks again :)

Edit: this was the error msg:
Debug Assertation Failed!
Program:..\Mods\....\CMPUTIL.exe
File:dbgheap.c
Expression: _CrtIsVailidHeapPointer(pUserData)

The error occurred right after the msdos window stated: 'First lets get all those new cool splash screens loaded'...opening... (than the error)

if that helps at all :/

Not much point enabling if the installer didn't complete.

As for knowing if the mod is loaded, the enabler has a list of enabled mods, if it's on that list, it's enabled. Unless the files the enabler thinks are the mod files have been overwritten, but if you don't mess around with the files you don't need to worry about that.

I don't know why that installation error is occurring. Let's hope OneShot does.

As for the installer error ... I think the reason for this is that you didn't use the right folder to install the mod to. If I'm right then this msg basically says that it (the cmputil.exe) can't find any of the files it is supposed to use and that only happens if the installer put everything into the wrong folder.

Make sure to point the installer to the Dangerous Waters root folder, not the /mods folder.

If you enable the mod after the installation you should see LwAmi 3.09 in the lower left hand corner of the splash screen prior to entering the main menu.

Once I put in the right place it all seemed to install properly...thanks guys :)

don't know if this is right place to post..but I noticed having a really hard time now having torps from helo when playing the ffg hit their targets..

I finally set to show Truth on the map and had the helo drop torp right on top of sub (litoral waters)...several times...the torps never locked onto the subs..or the decoys the sub deployed in response..

So is it just that hard now? Is there a way to program the torps on the helos while playing the FFG?

What class of sub was it?

I'm actually a bit surprised it took this long for a complaint to come out. I rescaled the active SLs a little too much for subs. 3.10 will be closer to where 3.08 was. You should still have no trouble tagging Kilos because they're large for SSKs. Try to drop the torp to put it on side aspect and you should be able to tag the smaller ones too. (cross-posted from Subsim)

Will give it a try..finally about to be able to sit down for a while and play today lol

They take that hard turn to the right just after they hit the water to, so by the time the helo stops and drops...the sub has crept up a ways, will follow your advice and try dropping a little ahead and to the left so maybe the torp will have a better chance of turning into the sub...

This mod is free, all thats needed is that you are registered at this website, which you are obviously and don't use a download manager otherwise you might get an error manager.

Howdy,

I've installed DW and upgraded it to v1.4

Installed LWAMI 309 but when I run DW, I get an error

ERROR 12010
Bitmap Failed to load

Any ideas?

When I disable LWAMI vi JSGME and run stock DW 1.4, no probs.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply. I see you already got an answer on subsim, but just for the sake of having the information here too, it seems that this error can be corrected by disabling the splash screens or by ensuring that DW and the mod are in the standard directories (program files/SCS/DW). Apparently Vista has some sort of "feature" that makes shit not work when it's not in that standard directory structure.

Sorry for adding confusion to this issue.

I have DW with LAWMI 3.09 installed under Vista. I make it a practice to not install software under the Program Files folder wherever possible. I have no problems with DW or LAWMI installed under a folder other than Programs.

I find that installing software under the Programs folder may cause problems. Typically the Programs folder is not owned by the normal user account and this can cause some problems.

But, I guess whatever works to get DW up and running is what counts in the end.

Hi there ...

I just have download the MOD .. and i liked it ... Thank You:you_rock::massa:
But I'm just wondering which MOD is better:
1) v3.09
2) Reinforce Alert / DWX 1.0

I've played the v3.09 and I've noticed that the INFO in the upper left corner of the CHART SCREEN is ... well - the separate lines are on top of each other ... yes, the fonts are much more easier to read, but when the letters overlap is even more confusing..
I've read other posts .. and I've seen that other users were having problems with the models, which looked less detailed ones and like glued to a flat surface, with propellers shining out of the water  and have no relation to the waves :frown:
Is the Reinforce Alert / DWX 1.0 a better choice or the v3.09 is the best!?

P.S.: I really and truly enjoy the MOD and I'm grateful to the developors for making DW even more FASCINATING!!!:arms::you_rock::massa:

DWX is a different beast from Lwami.
Yes DWX is a mod as is Lwami, but where Lwami only changes the database, DWX goes much deeper. It adds a lot and I mean a lot of new playables (current version has around 40 playable units, and the next version will have even more). DWX changes the core of the simulation and in doing so corrects many of the shortcomings and errors that were in the game.
Think of DWX as a Dangerous Waters version 2.
For example take the DSRV, this sub never worked in the stock DW nor in Lawmi. Well it now works in DWX. You can send the DSRV on a mission and be sure to recover it automatically. This kind of thing is just not possibile in Lwami.

The current version DWX 1.0 has some bugs that are being ironed out for the 1.1 release. In any case you can download, install it and see for yourself what the brouhaba is all about. One thing though, DWX has to be installed over a stock DW+1.04 patch. It is not compatibile with jsgme and lwami.

find the network adapter setting in DW game root directory and see whether it matches the adapter that you use for your internet. I'm no expert but there's usually the firewall problem or that DW adapter file setting whenever people have problems with online DW game.
