Hello, I have been getting a “weapon not functioning” when trying to launch the SS-N-15 ASW missile from the Kilo’s in the quick missions. I classified the contact, (sub) correct depth (50-150 m) and speed (under 5) and set up the proper snapshot or S01 coordinates, and have 90% air in the tanks for launch. When I go to the orders menu on the bottom left corner to fire the SS-N-15 missile, it’s greyed out. I can only launch the missile from the actual weapons screen, by clicking on the red fire button, and launching the missile, but I immediately get a “weapon not functioning” message. I tried the same mission with the Akula, with the SS-N-27 missile, and the fire SS-N-27 on the orders menu is lit up, and I can fire the missile. Can someone help me resolve the issue. I have the latest v104 patch, I don’t know if that’s conflicting. Can someone help with this issue. Thanks, Jim.

I think there's a mistake in the manual. 50-150m is the depth for the SS-N-16. You want to be <100m.

Thanks for your help, the missile fired at 100m. Will it fire at any other depth? what are the ranges?

There's probably no upper limit. I'm fairly certain the -16 is unique in having one.
