Mission Package 01/SSN-751

You are assigned as element of Operation Zeus.
You will get your boat ready in all aspects to get underway with 4 hour notice from being notified.
You will proceed at best speed to grid E-3 via grid D-5 and D-4.
Your mission is to locate and oppose any Surface Invasion Task Force the enemy could launch with the intention of taking over Canal Harbour.
You are to reach that area undetected and mantain a stealthy presence until enemy intentions are ascertained.
Your weapon Loadaout must be oriented to counter a surface and subsurface force but as well to carry a minimum number of 10 mines. No TAMS or Harpoon allowed for this mission because we expect any enemy Task Force being guarded by a number of Aegis or FFG units. Also a samll number or UUV is recommended.
You will also embark Special Forces Team number two for a seconday mission you will be notified in time

You are expected to be underway for a long period with some additional taskings given after the completion of this phase thus proper weapon economy is required.
Your priority objective would be any LSD ship, any Minehunter, any AOR and any submarine on this order.
Whether possible and safe avoid combat with submarines and Air assets during this Operation although if an enemy submarine force is detected escorting the invasion group you are allowed to engage however not forgeting that the main target of your mission is the invasion force that must be stopped and not its escort.
The SSN-21 Seawolf Commanded by LT Driftwood will also operate as a blocade force on the proximity of Canal and in case of operations on the same grid he will be under your tactical Command during the operation on that grid together.
You are required to have comms link at least every 12 hours with HQ, to report inmediately any contact to HQ and when required by the sittuation.

The loading crew has assumed 1 UUV and 3 Mk48's. Let us know if something needs to be moved.

About the two TASM's, they where loaded for getting the enemy confused by a TLAM launch.

TO: SSN-751 CO
According to latest Intelligence received, the possibility of an enemy Anphibious Assault on Canal is taking shape.
Seems that the OPFOR may have have some LCAC units to help disembark any Marine Units in order to occupy Canal.
We must prevent such disembarkment although not taking unneeded risks to your vessel.
If the Enemy intentios are confirmed, Canal Harbour will be mined for P-3 units thus limiting the enemy maneurability.
If enemy Task Force remains outide harbour, you are to engage them.
Priority must be giving to any LCAC that may me moving from the LSD to the Harbour (thus loaded with a Marine Divission)
If no LCAC, the main target must be the LSD followed by any other submarine and after this any Warship such FFG or DDG. AOR could be considered a seconday target although if possible must be engaged as well but not forgeting the priority Targets.
You are now to extend your patrol area to F-3.
