Just seen that the LSDs have LCACS loaded now to. do they move 1 Hex per turn to? Can they resuply? Can they operate on their own do they have to be near a LSD?
Just wondering how we can use them and incorporate them into our current strategy. Also read that we can still leave one at base if we wanted to? Not to sure how old that was and if we can still do that now. Thinking that if we lost a LSD we would also lose 2 LCACS?

Basicly the LCACs allow us to invade an area held by the enemy (A LSD can't do it alone anymore, but they can dock in a port if its unprotected). They can land 1 marine division from 1 hex away or 2 from the same hex. Each carries 1/2 a division. The LCACs are in the dock of the LSD so if it gets sunk so do the LCACs. There has been a lot of new data put in to the rule book so you might want to get the newist one.
Next turn I was planing on sending two LCACs to Riohatcha from J4 (if no Enemy P-3s show up) and sending a P-3 to C6 incase the enemy tries the same at Trujillio.

ok, have read new rule book.
So if you are going to send 2 LCACs to Riohacha next turn then that means you can move the LSD and then launch the LCACs and then move them on to another hex in the same turn?
Not sure if we can do that?. may be good idea to check with ML first. My understanding was that if you has a LSD one hex away from a port you could send in the LCACs so LSD would not be in danger but LSD would stay where it was and that would all take one turn. I am prob wrong here but may be worth checking?

The new rules essentially make what was implicitly going on before explicit. So, the two LCACs can carry 1/2 div per trip and can make 2 sorties per turn when being operated in the same hex. This gives you exactly the same result for port takeovers as before the amendment(both divisions offloaded in one turn).
The LSD doesn't need to "stop" for a turn to deploy the LCAC. A turn roughly corresponds to 12 hours... Normally, the LSD would be stationary because multiple sorties are being launched.
The turn the LCAC is deployed, it can only operate in the hex it was deployed in. It may move normally in the next turn's movement phase, but keep in mind that it's maximum range is TWO hexes. This allows you to make a round trip from one hex away and that's it.

Eather its going to be an ASW search or a mining op of Trujillo, then maybe next turn we ASuW Sweap Trujillo to see if the LCACs are coming in undefended. :frown:
