I have written in complaining about the deployment and retrieval speed oft the towed arrays in DW.
I have a solution, not the best, but workable. You can increase the deployment and retrieval speed a lot by increasing your boat's speed. 10 -15 knots will really help. I have been using 10 knots myself to limit the chances of cavitation. In DW retrevial is easier because. with the exception of Sea wolf (40 knots) the arrays do not break anymore. This does not appy to floating wire which will break above 18 knots.
The above solution is far from perfect but it willl help you.
