Great tactic is to let them kill themselfs. Go ahead at 5kts, don't shoot. Ignore active sonars .. ships go too fast, so their sensors are vashed out.
Head for the carrier. Get after it, and turn to pursuit curse. Wake homers are not good at head-on attacks. Get reasonable distance about 1 nm .. then empty all tubes .. load just wake homers and 'tests'. Then (or better - just before launching the torpedoes) get to 14m depth .. pop sail ot of the water and wait for helos. Ships will start to shoot at you .. but torpedoes like big surface ships much more than your small rubber coated Kilo. You quite safe, unless helo drops torpedo from very short distance. And with SAM in hands, you can avoid that. But dont surface ! On surface you woudl be killed by guns and missiles. With just sail out, you're safe.
Shoot SAM when helo is really close, I shoot when I see it with good details on the helo on 4x zoom.

I managed to do this mission for the first time by a chance .. I was newbie so I ignored active pings .. I get as close to carrier as possible. I missed most of the torpedoes, because I was too close .. but carrier was sinked by torpedoes from its escort.
When I tried for the second time .. I could not make it ! I was trying to avoid active FFG, I was trying to shoot down helos (they sent 6 at me, one by one). Nothing worked. Just get in the middle and let them know you're here .. then watch.
